Infrared LEDs
Infrared lights are available in models with a peak emission of 850nm (by default) and 940nm (IR940 models). They can be used to improve image recognition at high contrast, especially items difficult to see with visible light.
Example applications include illumination of materials that are unstable when exposed to higher energy wavelengths (i.e. visible, UV light), photography applications that require the light to penetrate the object, and recognition of gold wires.
